><h3>Die Geschichte von Schloss Sachsengang<\/h3>\n<p>Kaiser Heinrich II schenkte 1021 dem bayrischen Kloster Weihenstephan einen Teil der Donauinsel &#8222;Sahsonaganc&#8220;. Schon neun Jahre sp\u00e4ter gelangte dieses Gebiet an das Bistum Freising. Um 1120 wird Adalbert von Sachsengang als erster Vertreter, des nach der Burg benannten Geschlechts, urkundlich erw\u00e4hnt.<\/p>\n<p>Seine S\u00f6hne Gerolt und Hartnit verweigerten 1164 dem Bischof von Freising ihre Lehenspflicht. Sachsengang wurde landesf\u00fcrstlich, Gerolt und Hartnit Ministerialen der Babenberger. Zwischen 1412 und 1432 starben die Herren von Sachsengang aus. Um 1400 geh\u00f6rte die Burg Rudolf von Lassberg. Im 15. Jahrhundert verlor Sachsengang durch die Errichtung einer Donaubr\u00fccke bei Wien und die Ver\u00e4nderungen der Donau sowie ihrer Arme seine strategische Bedeutung.<\/p>\n<p>Als Lassberg starb, kaufte K\u00f6nig Ferdinand Sachsengang zur\u00fcck und machte es zu seinem Jagdschloss. 1529 \u00fcberlie\u00df er es aber Niklas Graf Salm. Um 1550 wird berichtet,<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div  class='flex_column av-4nkpg4-136d48d22975834ec7dd1ac463bf7e32 av_one_half  avia-builder-el-5  el_after_av_one_half  el_before_av_one_half  flex_column_div  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-1x9tr8-7a7d5a4e99c49742be49b99b6e50d424 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>dass die Geb\u00e4ude bereits in einem schlechten Zustand waren. Erst die beiden Obristen Hanns Berchtold und Johann Provia begannen 1574 mit der Wiederherstellung der verfallenden Bauten. 1581 richtete ein schweres Erdbeben und 1582 ein Brand schwere Sch\u00e4den an. St\u00e4ndige Streitigkeiten zwischen den beiden Besitzern verhinderten eine ordnungsgem\u00e4\u00dfe Pflege der Burg. Zwar konnte Maximilian Berchtold diese schlie\u00dflich ganz in seinen Besitz bringen, doch gelang es ihm nicht, Sachsengang als erbliches Lehen zu erhalten.<\/p>\n<p>Als Kaiser Ferdinand III 1655 Sachsengang zum Verkauf ausschreiben lie\u00df, war es bereits wieder in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Neuer Burgherr wurde Johann Konrad von Richthausen. Er besch\u00e4ftigte sich in Sachsengang vorwiegend mit alchemistischen Experimenten. Bereits 1659 verkaufte er die Burg dem aus S\u00fcdtirol stammenden Dr. Jakob von Thavonat, der die Burg schlossartig ausbauen lie\u00df.
